In 2023, Iraq maintained its role as the primary importer of Sri Lankan tea. Despite an overall 3% decline in tea exports to 242 KMT compared to 2022, the latter half of 2023 witnessed a notable 4.5% increase in tea exports with comparison to the corresponding period in 2022.
